Full Moon Posting #35

Welcome to The Werewolf Cafe's December full moon phase! This month's full moon is called the "Full Cold Moon" (because of the colder weather during this time of year). This full moon is also called the "Full Long Nights Moon" or the "Moon before Yule".

Happy Howl-idays!

Special note: The winter solstice is on December 21 (for northern hemisphere), and that is considered to be the shortest day of the year (the day with the least amount of sunlight within the 24 hours).

If you are interested in submitting something for a future full moon phase, please use the "Submit" button option here on the site to submit your artwork, photo, story, email and/or link to be posted for a future full moon phase. Thank you!

Full Moon Posting #34

Welcome to The Werewolf Cafe's November full moon phase! This month's full moon is called "The Full Beaver Moon" (this name is due to the winter fur trapping and maybe also because beavers are active in their preparation for winter). This full moon is also called the "Frosty Moon".

We hope you are enjoying the brand "new" Werewolf Cafe website, there will be even more new features in the months to come. If you are interested in submitting something for a future full moon phase, please use the "Submit" button option on the site here.

Full Moon Posting #33

Welcome to The Werewolf Cafe's October full moon phase! This month's full moon is called the "The Full Hunter's Moon" (this name is due to the hunting season at this time of year).

HAPPY HALLOWEEN! Due to past tradition, The Werewolf Cafe will remain open all the way through the Halloween holiday!

We hope you are enjoying the brand "new" Werewolf Cafe website (which was launched at the September full moon phase). There will be even more new features in the months to come.

Les Temps des Vampires will present "The Vampire Lestat Ball" on Friday October 27, 2006 at Rosy's Jazz Hall in New Orleans. The Ball will be featuring special guests, special entertainment, raffles and a large silent auction. The raffles and silent auction will benefit New Orlean's Habitat for Humanity in support of their hurricane Katrina relief efforts (Many Werewolf Cafe forum members are helping with the silent auction/raffles at this event). Full Moon Posting #32

Welcome to The Werewolf Cafe's September full moon phase! This month's full moon is called the "The Full Harvest Moon" (this name is due to the traditional gathering of crops at this time of year).

Special note: This year's autumnal equinox is on September 22, 2006.

A very special announcement:

This full moon phase marks the brand new Werewolf Cafe website! It has been long overdue and it still has a way to go, but we hope you like it anyway. In addition to the cosmetic changes, that should be easy to see, we have several new features underneath the hood, so to speak, that should make it easier to grow and expand the site. The first truely new feature of the site is the calendar. We will be using the calendar to post upcoming events, movie releases, book releases, forum member birthdays, full moon phases and more. You can submit calendar entries from our new submission page.

Another great new feature is the search box at the top of the left column. We always had a search box, but it didn't always quite work right...not it does. We've also been able to recover all the archives, so old posting you may not have been able to find are now back!

The site is not completely done, but we were so anxious to start using it, we decided to launch it this month. We still have a lot of plans and a lot of work to do, and we'd be happy to hear what you have to say. You can use our new contact page to let us know what you think.

We also have a ton of great newcontent for this month. As of my writing this, a lot has been posted, but there will be lot more over the next couple days...so keep checking back.

The Vampire Lestat Ball is just around the corner...on Friday, October 27, 2006....and once again The Werewolf Cafe will be sponsoring and promoting this wonderful event. It great to see so many members of The Werewolf Cafe involved in such a worthy event. You can find out more at their MySpace Page. Information about tickets, special guests, entertainment, and raffes (proceeds of which will be donated to Habitat for Humanity) can be found at Crescendo Magazine's web site. Below you can see copies of the posters promoting the ball.

Special note: Because of past tradition around here, The Werewolf Cafe will open again around the time of the October full moon phase and then it will remain open through Halloween (October 31).

Full Moon Posting #31

Welcome to The Werewolf Cafe's August full moon phase! This month's full moon is called the "Full Sturgeon Moon" (this is the time when this fish is most readily caught). It is also known as the "Full Red Moon" (because it looks "red" through the haze), the "Green Corn Moon" and the "Grain Moon."

Be sure to read the new story submitted by AL J.Vermette in our stories section.

A very special announcement:

The Werewolf Cafe will be launching a brand new website before the Halloween season, just a few of the highlights of the new site will be:
  1. An calendar to post upcoming events, movie releases, book releases and forum member birthdays.
  2. New submit and contact menu software that makes posting much easier.
  3. The return of the guestbook, with anti-spam features.
  4. Access to all past archived articles (all past articles will be accessible since the first day that The Werewolf Cafe opened).
  5. Upgrades to the newest versions of the underlying software.
  6. A new site design and look.
  7. and more...

The "new" site should be ready by the September full moon phase, but will definitely be launched by the October full moon phase (just in time for Halloween). A lot of hard work has gone into making the site easier to use and easier to maintain.

Enjoy the site this month, and beware of the full moon...
